The Flaming Pickles (or 'The Pickles' as they are affectionately known) were originally a group of seasoned footballers searching for a new home that aligned with their spirited and passionate style of play. What better home than the SVFC! In 2024, as a newly established team.

The Pickles began their journey in the women’s division 2 competition and quickly rose to the top of the points table, often outmaneuvering their opponents with ease and precision. After the first round, The Pickles earned promotion to division 1, where their skill, talent, and experience were tested against more competitive opposition.

Throughout their debut season at SVFC, The Pickles evolved and adapted. Injuries, life changes, and job relocations created opportunities for several of SVFC's talented junior girls to gain experience in women's football – and they rose to the challenge! The Pickles offer a wonderful blend of outstanding skill, tactical knowledge, and execution, all while maintaining a culture that is fun, relaxed, and enjoyable for everyone involved.
